As a designated Economic Development District, the NODA Board of Trustees is charged by the Federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) to encourage units of local government within its boundaries to plan and work together on activities which improve the local economic climate. The designation and maintenance of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document makes the NODA area eligible for several EDA programs which can provide assistance with planning and financing of activities that strengthen the economic base of the area. Upon request the staff is available to provide assistance to NODA member governments with planning and development activities that better the quality of the economic environment.
